Making Polygons

What is a polygon? It is a shape that has straight sides, is closed, and the lines only meet at the corners, called angles.

We made polygons. We used straws and twist ties. We bent the twist ties and stuck them in the straws. We made triangles, squares, rectangles, hexagons, trapezoids, pentagons and diamonds. We enjoyed doing this, and we got to take our polygons home.

Yeah that is pretty cool! I remember doing these little shapes with straws and ties when I was a little kid. I'm in 9th grade, and I wish that I was a little kid again because it was really fun back then playing with my friends outside and all the activities that we did.

Abby's favorite is a triangle. Cam's is a square. CJ's is a hexagon. We all had lots of fun, and we're so glad you read our blog!
