PURPLE DAY!

Today was Purple Day! We wore all the purple we had. We brought purple surprises. One was a lizard. Our teacher brought a purple stretchie. We counted our purple clothes and tallied them. We read purple stories. We wrote our own purple story. We took pictures. We learned to spell purple. We laughed a lot. We love purple!

Dear Starfish,
Tallying is such a clever way to count lots of purple things! I would have liked to be in your class for Purple Day; I really like purple, too. I'm curious about your purple lizard!
Did you learn the word for purple in French?
Love, your friend,
Ms. Paterson

Hello Starfish,

I LOVED seeing this slideshow, but it made me really sad that I had to miss out on purple day. I don't think I've ever seen so much purple in one place!

Dear Ms. Paterson,
Violette is purple in French. One of us brought a stretchy purple plastic lizard. It was cool!

What an amazing group of young folks. I don't think I have ever seen so many different examples of purple. I also have never heard of a purple lizard. You are very wise to count your purple items with tally marks - this way purple does not get lost. Have a wonderful week. I can't wait for the next post.

I love the pictures of all the kids with the purple stretchie on their heads...especially the one of the young lady that is missing her two front teeth! What a great way to make learning so fun!!

Hi kids,
I am so happy that you did a purple day, because purple has always been my favorite color. How lucky you are to spend a day celebrating the most wonderful color ever.
